Can you say Phantom

This is the way it looks now. It now has a cool look to it that few other corvettes have. Surprisingly it was not that difficult of a modification thanks to the help from the people at the . They fit remarkably well the small ones are 2 1/16 and the large ones are 5 inch models form They have all kinds of models and types available.

I also used thier angle rings that tilt the gauges about 30 deg. toward the driver. Just click hear to see what I mean. This gives it another custom look as well all the bulbs are red in color for a realy nice night time look.

To the right are images of the custom wireing harness that I fabricated. On both the center and drivers gauge pannels i created an interconnection between each pannel and the cars factory wireing harness. This allows me to disconnect the pannel with one plug, Previously you had to remove all the bulbs and disconnect the gauges individually. It also allows me to avoid cutting into the new wires that I installed 2 years prior. I used the factory color wires to avoid confusion and created a diagram to go by you can see them here. Drivers side Center

One of the bigist problems I had was the turn signal lights. The new Spedo and Tach had no provision for them inside the gauge face its self and be damed if I was going to hach up the face. Some people I've talked to re routed them to the center bezel where the seat belt warning light is, however I wanted them in the same area that they were. So I came up with the idea of LED's for thoes of you who don't know "light emitting diodes". There is just enough room between the gauge case and the wall of the bezel to fit one for each and I stuck 2 on top one for the HI BEEM and one for the PK BK light. Now only one more problem LED's are only about 2.2 volt and the power going to them is of course 12. Well I found a cool little site called . How Stuff Works and then I could calculate how much resistance I was going to need to drop the voltage, and the rest is history.

Comming soon pic's in the dark!!!!
