Okay, it's now ready to go in. We had to get another water pump cause the pulley mounting surface was just too far out.
I want to give a big THANKS to my dad, my buddy Igal, and Cristina (my fiance) for all their help! ![]() |

I decided to also add a blowproof bellhousing (scattershield) as you can see here. We dropped the engine and tranny in as one unit. That's me cranking on the load leveler, my dad in the back (making the same funny face as me), and my friend Igal in the front. Boy, were they good and needed help!!! ![]() |

My dad's wiring up the alternator. You can also see the heater hose shutoff valves I installed in the background. ![]() |

Now everything's hooked up except the distributor and dipstick. I just have to solve the spark plug clearance issue and the break-in begins. I can't wait to get back home from Africa to finish! ![]() |

Success! The beast came alive June 21st and the first drive on the 22nd. What a great feeling to finally have this thing running. And with open headers it is LOUD! I ended up having to replace the headers to clear the plugs and in doing so I'll have to re-do the exhaust. Plans are for full 3" exhaust with an x-pipe. |
