When the GMC Syclone first came out in 1991, my friend with a 5.0 Mustang had an encounter on the street with a new Syclone. The end result wasn't pretty. That Syclone was the the truck that got me started, Ironically, I may have had that particular truck in my possesion and I didn't realize it until years later. Ever since that encounter in 1992, I decided that if I was ever going to buy truck or SUV, I was going to buy a Syclone or Typhoon. Every time I would drive by a Syclone or Typhoon, I would take notice. (In a snow storm, I almost rear ended a Green/Gray Typhoon in my Supra.) When I was surfing the internet, I periodically would read up and check out the SyTy webpages. I tried to talk my wife into buying a Typhoon for her next vehicle, but that didn't work out.

Finally, the right time finally came up for me to buy a Syclone. I looked in the local want ads and internet forsale ads for over 6 months. I thought I had found "My Syclone" in Michigan, but while working out the details, it sold on me. I was so disappointed. I went back to look at the Michigan Syclone ad for one last time and I notice another ad for a Syclone in Virgina. It looked promising and the price was even cheaper. The owner was moving from VA to CA, and he wanted to sell it in the next two weeks. I worked out all the details, had someone look at it, and flew down to pick up the truck. The trip back was 561 miles back to Massachusetts. When I went to pick up the truck, I was pleasantly surprised on how nice it was. It exceeded my expectations. It was only the second Syclone I had driven, but this one was a lot faster than that first one!

The truck itself is very clean and almost all original. It was 100% stock, when I bought it. The truck is in very good to excellent condition. It has very few scratches except for the inside of the bed. The interior is in excellent condition. The engine is clean and looks like someone cleaned it regulary. The previous owner said he never drove it in the rain. The previous owner wouldn't let the local guy, that I had found to check the truck out, test drive the truck, because it was raining out. The local guy, who checked out the truck for me, had to come back another day.

My Syclone has 2 previous owners with 42K miles. The original owner was from San Diego, CA and bought it from a dealership in Ohio (Bob Morris Pontiac-GMC). My truck was advertised for $16,900, and was purchased one week after that advertisement was run nationally. The original owner was a car collector, but he drove this truck regulary. He sold it with 37,000 miles. The second owner was in the Military. He bought it in San Diego CA from a dealership in 1997, but he was transfered out of the country shortly after that. He stored the vehicle for a year and half. The 2nd owner was transfered to Virginia so he had the truck shipped out to him from CA. He drove it sparingly after that. I am the third owner, I plan to keep this truck for quite a while.
