Cascade Corvette Club, based in Eugene / Springfield, Oregon, was founded in 1965. Current membership stands at 65. The oldest Corvette in Cascade Corvette Club is a `56 and the newest is a `02 Z06.
Club activities are varied, most members enjoy cruising to various locations around the Pacific Northwest to support other clubs events, many members are successful on the car show scene, a small number of members are into auto-cross and drag racing, some of us enjoy driving cross country to partake in national Corvette events, and the one thing every member agrees on - we love to eat!
Cascade Corvette Club is actively promoting the enjoyment of Corvette ownership by participating in events thoughout the western states and hosting the annual Romania Chevrolet / Cascade Corvette Club Show-n-Shine. We also support and contribute to the National Corvette Museum.
Nancy has been a member since 1979 and Jim since 1985. We met at a Corvette event, she driving a Red `74 Roadster, he in a Silver `71 Coupe, and the rest is history. We sold both these cars in 1998 and bought a `93 Polo Green convertible, which served us well for one year until we found (Jim's) dream car - a `96 Polo Green convertible. In 1999 we toured with the Corvette Caravan to Bowling Green for the 5th Anniversary Celebration, we attended Vettes on the Rockies in 2001, and plan on caravaning to Bowling Green again in 2003.
