Rear Suspension Rebuild
A little more work still ahead.
This is a before shot of the rear suspension. Everything has been undercoated at one time by the previous owner. I didn`t really want to do this but I am gonna scrape it all off. There is just surface rust on the frame where the undercoat has fallen off, so it shouldn`t be too bad.
This is what it looks like with the trailing arm removed. There is no damage or rust inside the t-arm pockets. Now is the time to fix anything that needs any attention. I will take the exhaust system out and put a new one in. I just have to decide what kind to put in. Stainless or Aluminized. Decisions decisions.
Here is a shot from the rear looking toward the front. What a mess. If the front seal on your diff is leaking this is what you can look forward too. I just hope everything goes back in as easy as it came out. If not I know everybody at www.corvetteforum.com will be willing to help.
