![]() ![]() This is my 1969 350/300 hp Corvette convertible. This car is our weekend cruiser and hotrod. I wasn't looking for a pristine show car. I was looking for a healthy street machine and this car fits the bill perfectly. While it does have the correct engine, transmission and rearend, the engine has been modified. It's a 355 cubic inch smallblock with an Edelbrock 750 CFM carb, Edelbrock Performer EPS intake manifold, .500 lift/292 degree duration cam and Accel Armor Shield braided spark plug wires. A Summit performance 50KV HEI fires NGK V-Power plugs. I fabricated a custom fuel line using the stock steel fuel line and braided hose while retaining the stock fuel filter with return line. The fuel pump is from Carter. Exhaust is removed via Hooker Competition headers and true dual exhaust. Under the hood are Edelbrock standard height valve covers and the stock chrome air cleaner. The transmission is an M-21 Muncie 4-speed using the stock shifter. I was shocked to find that someone had installed air shocks in the rear. Those were replaced with Bilsteins. An Autometer tachometer monitors the revs and covers the stock cable-driven tach. The stock tach worked fine until a sticking cable caused the needle to jump thus bending it. I use 3M polishing products and a Porter Cable buffer to get the shine. ![]() This is my 1987 base Corvette coupe which has the L98 Tuned Port Injection engine which can propel this car to 150mph and from 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and run the quarter mile at a best altitude-corrected time of 13.92 @ 100 mph. It gets nearly 28 miles per gallon as a bonus! This car was Chevrolet's flagship for 1987 with all of it's techno-goodies and performance upgrades such as aluminum cylinder heads and roller lifters. This car had one previous owner who lived only 15 miles away. The car only had 74K miles when I bought it. It's been very well taken care of but was bought to be driven and not babied. I've always wanted a Corvette so this looked like a nice one to start out with. ![]() Above, Anne clowns around on New year's Eve 2000. It looks like she's up to no good to me! This is Anne taking a turn on the tiller. Together, we put out a 50'X50' garden every year. We mostly grow sweet corn and tomatoes but will put out some beans and peas for friends and family who want them. Last year's was a disaster due to floods, cold, high winds and Japanese beetles. ![]() This is Anne and I on Feb 17, 2002. We are at an open house for her parents on their 50th wedding anniveersary. We were photographed so many times. It's like everyone was there to see us. ![]() This distinquished gentleman is my great-grandfather Bill Endicott otherwise known as "Wild Bill" from around 1912-1915. This is a photograph of him taken at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during that time. Our family has several photos of him at various racing circuits around the country and Europe. Cars of that era were transported across the country by trains and boxcars. I can remember playing around a large silver trophy of his at my grandmother's house. The Speedway Museum has contacted our family about donating historical items to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum. ![]() I also enjoy amateur astronomy. On clear, calm nights you may find me in the back yard scanning the deep sky. The telescope pictured is an Orion XT8. This scope measures nearly four feet from the bottom of the base to the end or the tube! ![]()
Thanks for visiting Anne and I otherwise known as MyssAnne and O'Shark on the Corvetteforum. As for me, I've got so many hobbies that I hardly have time to work. Anne is very patient with me and my hobbies and never complains about my time spent working on my toys. Anne and I have been together over 6years now. She loves my cars almost as much as I do. We enjoy going to car shows and outdoor concerts together. She also loves to cook and create. An incessant and insatiable reader, Anne owns in excess of 1000 books of various sizes and has read them all. Majoring in the Greek classics, Library Science and Latin, Anne attended college at SUNYAB (State University of New York at Buffalo) and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. If you have a book or author question, she can answer it! Don't forget to click on |
