National Corvette Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant

This photo was taken inside the museum. Adding to the fun of delivery are all the people wandering by, not sure what is going on. "Why are those people touching that car? Hey, if he can sit in the car, can't I?" Plus, people take pictures and ask lots of questions. I guess if you have never ordered a new Corvette, you aren't aware of the delivery option, RC8. Pictured here are Adam, the bonafide Corvette nut and delivery specialist, and Terry, another Corvette owner, helping me install some accessories on my new machine. Museum delivery is a special experience. Everyone should try it at least once.

Here, Adam and I are returning from the quick drive along Boca Road. It's a great road to have next to the Corvette Museum, but pray that no one traveling in the other direction has crossed over the centerline at the blind curve.

Bowling Green, Kentucky, is also the location of the Corvette assembly plant. If you are in town, take a free tour of the plant, where you can watch the cars being put together, starting with frame rails and ending with a dynamometer run. You can't take any photos inside, but the security people were nice enough to let us take some shots outside the employee entrance. I'll bet very few people have done this. All I had to do was ask.
