I'm not anyone you would know even though we have some mutual friends and some history. You mention Jerry overweeser and Gary Calvert in your story and they were both good friends of mine. We were in the Slopokes together. I remember your Ford well as I lived in Monterey at the time but cruised Salinas quite often. I loved that car and always wondered what happened to it. I didn't realize the gold version was the same car. I remember the pink scalloped and candy red version well. The highlights of cruising back then was seeing your car and the Tiago Ranchero cruising along side, Cool stuff. My dad was the body shop mananger at Butts Pontiac and Cadillac and Bill Cushenbery worked for him before he opened his shop in Seaside. I got to know him fairly well and stopped by his shop often. I was too young to drive back then. (I'm 55 now) In fact I got a kick out of your talking about the napkins because I had some of those napkins with sketches of the silhouette but like you I lost them years ago. If we only knew. Just to let you know, that was not a clone of the Marquis. That is the actual car. It was found and restored by Bud Millard from Milbrae. The Exodus is currently in Merced but in very bad shape. enjoyed the trip down memorie lane. Contact me if you feel like it.
